Thai Binh Kindergarten - The New National Standard Kindergarten

On 29 Nov 2014, Dr. Cu Xuan Bao – General Manager, Mr. Rungchai Phoorivatana – Project Service Manager and other delegates of Hoang Long and Hoan Vu JOC, together with Delegates of the local authorities, Ms. Cao Thi Hai – Vice President of the Peoples Committee of Thai Binh Province, and all Management Board, teachers and pupils of Quynh Giao kindergarten celebrated the opening and Hand-over Ceremony of the first national standard kindergarten at Quynh Giao Commune, Thai Binh Province.

Quynh Giao Commune is located close to the centre of Quynh Phu District, 30km south of Thai Binh City. With a land area of 4.6 km2 and 6,318 inhabitants, more than 80% of its population live primarily on agricultural activities on relatively low incomes . Due to a restricted budget from Government, and limited contributions from local people, non-standard constructions are still common, especially for educational buildings such as high schools, and kindergartens.

The new central communal kindergarten was planned to be rebuilt on an area of 9,484 m2. Phase 1 of the project occupies 3,557m2 and includes 10 classrooms, an eating room, a medical room, a common room and other ancillary works such as fairy gardens, flower beds, a concrete yard and a garage. After completion, the project will be put into operation to meet the increasing demands of promoting child care quality.

The total estimated expenditure for the project is VND14,659,387,000, financed through the joint investment capital from the Commune’s budget and the JOCs’ donation of VND1,600,000,000. The national standard kindergarten is expected to create a better educational environment for the children of Quynh Giao Commune. This project again demonstrates Hoang Long and Hoan Vu JOCs’ charitable vision and their focus on long-term benefit projects, especially educational ones.
