“TOGETHER WE HELP STOP THE SEA LEVEL RISING”

On the 23rd and 24th May, 2014, Hoang Long & Hoan Vu JOCs’, in cooperation with the Company’s Trade Union and distinguished PVEP-HCM representatives organised a combined HSE Day, Tree Planting Day and Trade Union Day in Can Gio District.

The combination of the three “Days” was a good opportunity for all HLHV JOCs’ employees to showcase their teamworking abilities and to strengthen their awareness of Health, Safety and the Environment. This activity also helped participants learn about the restoration of the mangrove forest, damaged in the past, and the importance of reforestation in helping the environment, particularly with regard to water protection, prevention of natural disasters and flooding, but also in improving natural living conditions and moderating the climate.

Working under the banner “Together we help stop the sea level rising”, participants planted more than 250 trees at Can Gio mangrove forest contributing to the Clean & Green environment of the City. Short plays by of all teams focused on “Traffic Safety”, “Environmental Protection” and “Food Safety” and this, in addition to other activities, such as the camp fire and team games helped all participants combine relaxing moments with building team spirit.

These events demonstrate not only the team spirit of all HLHV JOCs’ employees but also their desire to protect the environment and help in the fight against climate change, in line with the environmental friendly policies of the JOCs.
