Hoang Long - Hoan Vu JOC’s Support The “Good Teachers - Good Students” Campaign Of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of 18 May 2012, in the excellent atmosphere at the “Good Teachers – Good Students” Award Ceremony at Ben Thanh theatre, Dr. Ngo Huu Hai – the General Manager and Mr. Vincent Duignan – the Deputy General Manager of Hoang Long and Hoan Vu Join Operating Companies (HLHVJOC’s) bestowed the donation of 200 Million VND to Mr. Dinh Thien Can – Head of Education and Training Department of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City representing thousands of teachers and students of District 1.

This activity has become an annual contribution of HLHVJOC’s to the District 1 Education and Training Department since 2009. The total number has amounted to USD 40,500 with the aim that this contribution of HLHVJOC’s will somehow enrich the “good teaching – good learning” spirit of the teachers and students of District 1, which will, then nourish more talents.

Acknowledging that the education and training mission of District 1 in particular and of Ho Chi Minh City in general is facing new challenges to meet the changes and development demands of the new economic era, the Management and employees at HLHVJOC’s recognise the responsibility in nurturing and strengthening the intellectual resources of the country, a social welfare target on top of the companies’ business achievements.
